A tattooed cat?

This one I have just created for a brand new clothing brand! It will be part of a logo where also the company name will be included. The name of the brand will remain a secret until the launch of the brand later this year.

sexywithstyle.com

This client figured there was actually no one out there selling club- and sexy clothes with any kind of style. All shops are way behind and they wanted to take this market from under their feet. So I designed them a classy logo and a clean shop to go with it.

Swahili Bobs's

In a few days Swahili Bob's Tattoo & Piercing's new website will launch. They are opening a new shop in Stockholm and they commissioned me to do a logo, businesscards, gift certificates and website. The logo should be "a crossing between kitsch, voodoo and art noveau"... and that's what I gave them of course.

This is what I have been up to this past week...

Picks.

Got the picks I ordered for MÄRVEL... and myself.... the other day.

Businesscards for Local Crew.

I have done logo, metal signs, website and business cards for Local Crew. As you can see from their website they work with music in all kinds of ways so what would be more fitting than business cards made up as tickets. It's also very handy because them damn cards stay in one place. Perfect for Local Crew out there in the festival jungle.

Old websites - RIP

Time for a change.

I am posting screenshots of my old websites, this because I in a few days time will be put them rest and replace them with my new site, www.papabear.se, to preserve their graphic prescence.

At one point I saw great value in having one site for each of my branches. But the time has come to bake them all into one. Graphics, management, label and booking.

This will show even better the width of what I work with.

This blog will remain, showing b
its and pieces of what I do of course, a wider variety than the new site if you wish.

Working on my new website.

Yeah. I figured it was time to bake my four sites into one. Graphics, label, management and booking. All under the same roof. It will be launched June 1:st.

Bar122

I was asked to make a quick logo, poster and monthly program for Bar122 in Stockholm. So I started out with the logo and poster and will do the program this weekend. I believe a MySpace design will follow eventually.

Avalanche Studios

Avalanche Studios is one of Swedens leading game developers with games on thier CV such as Just Cause and The Hunter that have had a lot of media prescence lately. They will soon release a sequal following their success of Just Cause who sold over a million copies worldwide, Just Cause 2, and they turned to me a while ago to develop a brand new logo for their company.

Lerkruka

This is the video we made for Lerkruka's debut single "Lilla Syster". The video was made by Jonas Holmqvist, Erik Lövoll and Eric Svensson. It had it's premiere showing at the releaseparty for the single held at Obaren in Stockholm on the 22:nd of April 2009.

The Lerkruka project itself is somewhat a test to see what you can make of a budget of only 1.500€. This budget included everything. Websites, posters, releaseparty, shipping costs, manufacturing a 300 copies limited edition of the single, press mailout, photos, t-shirts, pins AND video.

The label split everything equal with the bandmembers. We share costs, Fun and income. They do the performing and music and me as label/manager/booker take care of all the things I'm supposed to.

The single is available on iTunes, Spotify etc. Go get it!

Gerilla marketing.

Well. Kind of. Since I am a fairly small company and run an even smaller booking agency I have to depend om word by mouth, viral- and gerilla marketing to get my company's name out there. This combined with a never quit attitude and really big cohones makes it possible I even might stand a chance out there.

Recently I had a university student helping me out, Mikael Noaksson, as part of his studies. His job was to figure out a way to market my booking agency, The Booking Bronco, with almost no cash at all. So, starting out with a market prestudy he came to the conclusion that no booking agency's send out material by mail, so that was obviously the way to go. Therefore a simple postcard might do the trick. Another thing is that I have a very limited amount of time to chase venues to get them to see what fantastic bands I have in my stable, so why not try to get them to call me? The thought process resulted in this series of cards, sent out to the bookers at some 100 venues in Sweden, with one week between each card. Thanks Mikael!

Rock'n'Roll, Strippers... bring it on.

Club Kino, one of Stockholm's finest strip clubs turned to us to get that touch of exclusivity they wanted for their new website. If you visit the website you first come to a portal where you choose the middle option to visit Club Kino. Photographer for this job was Freddie Hall.

The fight is on!

A while ago Daemon Film contacted me in search of wrestlers. Indeed they contacted the right person since I manage Gamlestadens Fribrottarsällskap. The result is the video for Dada Life's "Happy Hands & Happy Feet". Remember. If you mess with Papa; you mess with these guys.

Sonic Surf City - back in style!

As you might now I am working to get Sonic Surf City back in the saddle, or on the surfboard if you wish. Yesterday DavidEinar took new photos of the band and today I finished their collectors cards/promotional photos.

I want the look to be both new and vintage at the same time. They have after all been around for 20 years, and with some serious trick up their, and my, sleeves... I believe we will have some good waves next year. Cowabunga!

More Horse.

This is the pic of the horses featured in the Casual Friday video below. The photo is published in todays issue of Corren and the photographer sharing the office with us, DavidEinar, took it. The horse to the right is me. Notice the sneaky placement of The Bookning bronco postcards.

DavidEinar today also took home the Gold in the World Championship of newspaper design. It is the series "Fredagsfenomen" that was rewarded that he takes all the photos for. Kudos! Todays issue of Corren's
"Fredagsfenomen" featured, yes, the photo of the drinking horses of course.

Living Art Tattoo

For world famous tattooer Drew Horner (has appeared in London Ink and will soon appear in another tattoo related show as a guest in the UK) at Living Art Tattoo in Lidköping I have designed almost everything except Drew and his crew (rime!). Shop signs, flags, backdrops, release forms, care sheets and business cards. This spring we will make him a new website too. And thats not all. He sponsors the guys in MÄRVEL with tattoos. I just did a new business card for him that turned out really cool. It's printed in one color on a gold lookin' paper. You almost have to see it, and touch it. It has a cool glimmer to it and the feel of the paper on top of that; details people. Details.

Casual Friday.

So it's Friday. So we chill in the bar in our office. The good times.

Surfs Up!

The other day I read on Aftonbladet.se an article about what bands from the 90's that we miss. But they forgot to mention one vital part of Swedish music history in the little online poll they had. Sonic Surf City. But there is no more reason to miss them. Because they are back. And I have just pimped their MySpace (and just a simple start page on their .com) and I will also be representing the band by the way.

Matches for Stevie's shop.

Stevie needed businesscards for his shop Stevie's Rock'n'Roll Service in Stockholm so I made him matches instead. Much better. A business card just ends up somewhere, and these suckers people think of every time they use it.

DIVA

This client came to us and was in a big, big hurry. They needed something that would appeal to their target group and they needed a simple website up and running "tomorrow" preffarably. It's a café and activity/support center for girls ranging from 12 and up. So I did this very fast one to start with:

And then later on we did this one (the admin tool lets them create their own content, so I am not responsible for all the imagery within the site):

The later, and finished one, is more or less a site where they reach out with their info to the public and it also has a simple community for the girls where they can write blogs, share pics and add other girls that are part of the DIVA project as friends and so on. You can find it here.

New Year = new MySpace look.

I just felt I hade to do something about the look on my MySpace page. Working in Music as I am, MySpace is a vital part of my day to day life taking care of several pages for my bands. In the blog there I also deliver bits and pieces of my life. The bastards that programmed MySpace should not get any x-mas gifts for years to come, not easy making it look good at all within those tight parameters. By the way, I just had a very interesting meeting with the band Sonic Surf City, quite well known in Sweden in the early 90's my friends. They now have Papa Bear on their side.

Lerkruka.

On April 22:nd I invite you all to the releaseparty of Lerkruka's debut single and video at Obaren in Stockholm. Lerkruka is released on my label Killer Cobra Records and they are managed by Supercock Management. The first single is "Lilla Syster" (Little Sister) and the plan right now is to only manufacture a exclusive limited edition single CD's available only at the releaseparty; and then release it only as a digital single. I just pimped their MySpace and their .se and .com websites will be up early next week.

Sportif Unlimited sale-webshop & blog.

FINALLY online! Sportif Unlimited is a fantastic store in Linköping, Sweden. I finished the graphics for this one in the end of 2007 but they have taken a really long time to fill it with products.

Let's say they have been really, really, really accurate. It's a sale-webshop (or discount if you wish) done in a very special "turklivs" way. Visit the Sportif Unlimited site and get those last, or first... or even all x-mas presents.

Buzzstop 28 Tattoo got an easteregg for x-mas.

Some months ago we launched Buzzstop 28 Tattoo's new website. A truly Fun project! Starting December 1:st we added a x-mas theme to the orchestra to give it that holiday season feeling.

I sell brawls...

Yeah. I am also manager for four fighters more known as Gamlestadens Fribrottarsällskap, not only bands; with a past in the GBG Wrestling society. They are available for events, product launches, weddings... the possibilities are endless. Give me a call. This is a short movie from the photo session with these savage brutes that took place in Gothenburg earlier this year, photographer was of course www.davideinar.se.

Stevie Klasson

I recently took on Stevie Klasson for management. Right now he's doing final touches to his new shop, Stevie's Rock'n'Roll Service in Stockholm situated at Erstagatan 22. This week he performs with Andy McCoy in Finland and next summer he will tour in the US with Gary Rasmussen's (former bass player in the legendary Sonic's Rendezvous Band) new band Smokin Moses.

I have pimped Stevie's MySpace, made some sweetlookin old style matches as bussinescards for his new shop and this little thing, that will go on tees when he's on tour.

Had no budget...

... when sending out MÄRVEL promotional packages to festivals. So. I took some old jeans, glue and fabric that can be printed on in a inkjet printer and voila. Rockn'nRoll sewn shut into a package of denim.

Agama Technologies

There's is almost no end to all the things I've helped Agama Technologies with. I have designed their website, product symbols, ads and exhibition graphics; giving the company a whole new look. But I have also helped them to plan and decorate their new office as well as doing som hands on work putting the furniture together.

Some posters I've made...

Tribe Piercingstudio & Webshop

For Tribe I have done everything from website, MySpace, to flyers, backdrops, banners, logos, ads and t-shirt designs.

La Fleur Fatale

My work with La Fleur Fatale have resulted in many great things. I will not spill all the beans here but just a few like the review in Classic Rock Magazine and the promotional packages we sent out early 2008, go to their MySpace blog for more info. Check out their video here. You have probably heard their song "Children Of Neon Lights" in the trailer for TV4 Sport; if you're a Swede that is, see and hear below:

I bought used cigar boxes and printed new graphics on sticker sheets and printed on our ordinary printer and sealed it with a Swedish 20 kronor bill. Each box also has a seal in the top left corner with the receiving festivals name on it.
